Handling Update Part 2
C, D, E Class Rebalance & Christmas 2025

The update is live on server now!

C, D, and E Class Handling Rebalance

The NFS:SA Team continues the handling overhaul with a comprehensive rebalance of C, D, and E class vehicles. Following the successful A and B class updates from earlier this year, Remolit has brought new life to the mid and lower tier classes.

[E Class] - Every vehicle now has very distinct characteristics. The class has become slightly slower than before, owing to Drivetrain bug fix.
[D Class] - Is no longer slower than E class around the track. Follows E class' differing characteristics, and had drivetype changes - Vincent and Previon to RWD; Kuruma to FWD.
[C Class] - Class of undrivable death traps no more, each car is now more capable and enjoyable to drive. Most notably, Blista is now the only FWD of the class - Flash and Uranus have been swapped to AWD, and Euros to RWD.

Note: every updated class had the Drivetrain bug fixed - the speedometer displaying 4 gears is not indicative of the bug being active.

Important: Top times for C, D, and E classes have been frozen and new records will not be registered until further notice. 
This allows for community testing and potential fine-tuning before leaderboards reopen. Pre-update records can still be viewed on the forum.

A Class Adjustments

Following community feedback from Part 1, we've made targeted adjustments to keep A Class competitive:
  • Major adjustments - Cheetah (Handling remade to be appropriate for an RR), Turismo (Stock & Street performance)
  • Minor adjustments - Banshee, Comet


B Class Adjustments
  • Super GT, Jester, ZR-130, Elegy, Beamer, Sultan, Mamba - Handling and upgrade part adjustments
  • Beamer - Collision model fixed

Multiple tracks have received edits and improvements:
  • Circuits - Junky; Beach Tour; Darkbolt; The Third Way; Speeding Force; Refurbishmen; Jefferson Run; Fierro Madness

A and B Class Handling Rebalance

After a 9-month hiatus, the NFS:SA Team is back with a content update that breathes new life into the server. After years of scrapped concepts, and months of focused work by Remolit, we're excited to deliver a rebalanced handling model for A and B class cars.

Special thanks to nide, forre, and Raven for their support and testing help.

A Class – the cars are now more fun and accessible, while also becoming much more competitive against the Infernus.
B Class – a class-wide buff makes every car a viable choice, so no matter your pick, you'll have the tool to fight for first place.

The leaderboards for A and B have been reset. Pre-update records can still be viewed on the forum.

Improved stock and street suspension and brakes on all cars

Other classes are planned to be released in the coming month.

Jester Refresh

Thanks to the hard work of twiseles, Jester has been reproportioned to better reflect its real-life inspiration while keeping its San Andreas soul.

Existing parts have been updated to fit the new model. This update only contains existing parts adapted to the new model - a parts content update that is currently WIP will be released at a later date.

9th Server Anniversary
Nine years ago, on 4th March 2016, NFS:SA 2.0 server launched!

During Server Anniversary days we would like to give you some bonuses:
  • From March 4th to 9th - x2 RP, BP chance and cash from all races.
  • All diamond hunts done on 4th, 5th or 6th March will give you guaranteed jackpot with guaranteed extra reward (drop)! (current progress doesn't matter, it can be even day #1)
  • If you join the server on 4-9th March you will receive free premium for 4 days! (you must join server at least once until 23:59 9th)
  • Many special URL events with high rewards multiplier
  • Time-Trials every 45 minutes!
  • A new rare item available to find in Freerun. Rare items are available during special events held regularly thru the year


Due to this special occasion, we decided to organize our annual, the one and only Hunt The Staff event!

The event date will be announced later! But it will happen later this or next week, stay tuned!

During the event Staff Members will be hidden around the whole SA map and players will have to find them, just like a game of hide and seek!

We, NFS:SA Team are glad that you are still with us. We plan to have some interesting updates until the grand 10 year anniversary, including a new car and more! Have fun!

Drift 2.0

Get ready to slide into the New Year with the new Drift 2.0 Handling!

The "Drift 2.0" is launching in beta, so expect all kinds of changes and additions to handling, game mode and UI. We also welcome your feedback!

New Drift Handling:
The new handling model is substantially faster and more controllable on all surfaces and at all speeds. If you've played on other MTA servers that include drift, this system might feel familiar. All cars now have approximately the same performance, making races and freerun drifting more diverse and balanced.

For now, 2.0 handling is enabled for all cars by default (except for Drift Classic game mode). This includes AWD, FWD, A-class, and even SUVs. Essentially, everything can be a drift car!

We've created a small tuning guide to help you get started. Please note that old dynos might not be compatible with 2.0. It's highly recommended to start from scratch!

Drift 2.0 game mode:
To fully realize the potential of the new handling model, we've updated the game mode. All of the new additions are delicately balanced to make races fast paced and, hopefully, allow different playstyles and types of cars to be viable, as well as to give more room for error.
  • Speed bonus: An exponential bonus that greatly rewards driving fast. 
  • Clean section bonus: A multiplier that is applied after you successfully bank your score or finish the race. It goes up to 5.0x and is increased gradually if you keep your combo going and don't collide with obstacles.  
  • Nerfed proximity bonus: Also known as "bonus zones". You get less bonus points when drifting close to the walls.
  • Reworked wall collision penalty: Instead of losing everything on impact, only a fraction of your base score will be subtracted. The amount of points lost depends on the speed of the collision. It does not break your combo, but removes the clean section bonus.
  • Permanently increased rewards: Drift 2.0 races should be worth your time!
The old game mode remains in the game and is now called "Drift Classic". It uses old handling model and scoring system. Drift Classic toptime board is separated from Drift 2.0 records board.
There are also 6 new TaskPoint tasks for finishing/winning Drift 2.0 races: Pro Drifter and Drift King!
The 500,000 drift points daily task can be completed thru both Drift Classic and Drift 2.0
Drift Classic is now removed from Quick Race pool and is replaced by the new Drift 2.0 race type.

As this is a kind of beta release for Drift 2.0, we will watch how players experience the new racetype and we might wipe Drift 2.0 toptimes due to balance changes
